Custom Fabricated Skid Process Pump Systems for the Paint & Coating Industry
A customer in the paint and coating industry contracted Fischer Process Industries to handle the engineering, supply, and fabrication of a custom skidded process pump system. The customer was expanding their business model to include water based paints and resins, adding to their current solvent based operation. We utilized our engineering process to design and develop their concept, preparing 3D drawings and pump specifications, specifically recommending the Waukesha positive displacement ECP lobe style pump for their application. We fabricated the custom skids framework utilizing steel frame and finishing with a protective powder coating. Pumps, filters, pulsation dampeners, gauges, and solenoid valves were supplied, and we assembled the unit to the approved configurations. The completed unit was subjected to thorough hydrostatic testing, and 13 pump packages were delivered to the customer in Richmond, Kentucky.
